Hi, I’m Madeline
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC) in both New Mexico and Colorado. My practice specializes in supporting individuals and couples as they navigate the emotional complexities of the reproductive years. I work with clients facing challenges related to miscarriage, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the transition to parenthood, along with the many layered experiences that can accompany these seasons of life.
I bring over 13 years of experience working with children and adults, first as an educator and now as a counselor. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful support can make a profound difference during times of change, grief, and growth.
I am Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) and have specialized training in supporting people during pregnancy and the postpartum period. I use well-researched therapy approaches that are effective for perinatal anxiety, depression, and related challenges. These include Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure-based approaches.
I received my post-graduate training through Postpartum Support International and completed additional supervised training focused specifically on perinatal mental health, allowing me to offer thoughtful, informed care during this sensitive time.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me rock climbing or trail running. I love supporting folks in the outdoor community and feel especially connected to that way of life. I live in Arvada, Colorado with my husband, son, and our dog, Birdie.
a note to potential clients…
I am an affirmative therapist who welcomes individuals of all identities. I believe women’s health includes experiences beyond the gender binary, and my goal is to create a therapeutic space that feels safe, inclusive, and supportive. In addition to specializing in maternal mental health, I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions.

If you have questions about therapy or want to make sure I am the right fit, fill out the contact form and I will be in touch. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to answer questions you may have prior to moving forward with scheduling the first session.
-
STEP 1 : Contact me to ensure I’ll be the right fit for you. We can talk about expectations, my therapeutic process, and payment.
STEP 2 : If you would like to move forward, you’ll sign consent forms and schedule the initial intake session.
STEP 3: The intake session is a 50 minute initial interview where I will be gathering information about your presenting concerns and some past history. This is also a good time for you to feel me out as well. If it doesn’t feel like a good fit I’ll help you find another therapist. Don’t worry, my feelings won’t be hurt. Finding a therapist you connect with is an important part of the process.
STEP 4: if you choose to move forward in your work with me, we’ll talk about your goals for therapy and come up with a treatment plan. The treatment plan is intended to be a dynamic document that we can revise at any point.

What is Integrative Psychotherapy?
An integrative approach to therapy means the provider has specific training in several therapies and they utilize aspects of each to create an individualized plan that best fits the needs of the client. As an integrative therapist, I do not believe in the “one size fits all” approach. I will get to know you and your specific needs and we will talk about a path forward that fits for you.
How often will I meet with you?
Frequency of sessions is determined by you and your therapist. Determining factors include severity of your condition, financial resources, and scheduling challenges. For example, if meeting weekly is way too stressful with your work schedule or childcare, then let’s talk about meeting every other week.
Can we meet in person?
At this time my practice is fully remote. I plan to return to in-person appointments when my son is a bit older and I am no longer breastfeeding. I will update my website when in-person care becomes available.
It’s all about the relationship - feeling comfortable with your therapist matters.
I offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have and to determine if I’ll be a good fit for you.
